Castle trip to Rüdesheim

Pure romance. The Rhine is home to a landscape that is unique in its density and diversity of castles. Between Bingen and the Siebengebirge, countless medieval knight’s castles, fortresses, palaces and church buildings unite to form a unique cultural landscape. Some of the most beautiful examples can be found on our route to Rüdesheim.
Once there, the visitor can enjoy the charm of this historic wine village. The well-known “Drosselgasse” with its typical seasonal wine taverns ostrich is the highlight of the cozy old town. With the Rüdesheim cable car passing vineyards, one reaches the memorial “Niederwalddenkmal” that offers a fantastic view over the valley. Horror fans will also come at their expense at the medieval torture museum where the harsh customs of the Middle Ages become tangible.
On the way back, there is plenty of time to review what you have experienced and end your day with a good glass of wine.
